At Cords 4 Canines, we want to give our customers the most enjoyable shopping experience. One that will keep them coming back to our store time and time again. That’s why we believe that our store policies should be fair, clear and transparent. Below you’ll find a list of all our current policies. PROCESSING & SHIPPING

How We Do It

Processing:

As we carefully handcraft all of our bespoke products for your precious canine friends, please allow about 2-4 weeks for order completion. Larger orders, or orders requesting a new custom or out of stock item, may require slightly longer for sourcing and processing. If for any reason there will be a significant delay we will notify you as soon as possible.
We know how exciting it can be waiting for your new creations to arrive, so rest assured we are always doing everything we can to try and get them to you in the shortest possible time.
(Please note: If you use the "PayPal - Pay In 4" option your order will not begin processing until all payments are final)

Domestic Shipping:

Domestic delivery within Australia is currently estimated to be around 6 to 10 business days.

Please allow longer for rural deliveries.

Express Shipping:

Express delivery within Australia is currently estimated to be around 2 to 4 business days.

International Shipping:

International delivery is currently estimated to take up to 4 weeks.

We ship to the following zones: New Zealand, US & Canada, Asia Pacific, and UK & Europe!

Your shipping zone should be automatically detected on checkout. If this is not the case please select your international shipping zone at checkout. If your shipping zone is not detected or available please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Australia Post is still experiencing COVID-19 disruptions and the effects of extreme weather conditions, which may cause further delay. This is unfortunately out of our hands. We will do our best to provide you with tracking details of your items when posted but once your order leaves our premises we have no control over its delivery or handling from thereon. If you do experience significant shipping delays we highly recommend to get in touch with your delivery service provider for assistance as soon as possible.

RETURNS

The Small Print

We endeavour to make sure that every order is thoroughly checked before it leaves us.

Please make sure to carefully check that any product sizing you provide is correct prior to placing your order as no further alterations can be made once your payment has been processed. If you are unsure how to size a collar product please refer to our "How To Order" page for detailed instruction, or alternatively please contact us via email at sales@cords4canines.com for assistance and guidance.

Change of Mind

We unfortunately cannot accept refunds or returns for change of mind on items once purchased.

Refunds & Exchanges

If an item or order you have received is not what you originally purchased please contact us within 14 days of receiving the item so we can rectify the situation ASAP! Email us at sales@cords4canines.com with your order number, preferred outcome (refund or exchange) and attach legible photos of the item in question with a detailed description of the problem. After the 14 day grace period has passed we cannot accept a refund or exchange request.

If we find the problem is as stated we will request for the item to be returned to us via post. Once we receive the item and are satisfied after inspection we will happily issue you with a full refund (including postage costs) or exchange - you choose!

Items must be returned in their original condition, unwashed, unworn and unstained.

​

If we find that the item you received was in fact what was originally ordered we unfortunately cannot refund or exchange the item.

Damaged or Faulty Goods

We endeavour to ensure your products are in good condition when we send them out to you.

If your product is found to be damaged or faulty please contact us straight away so we can assess the situation. Email us within 30 days of purchase at sales@cords4canines.com with your order number and attach legible photos of the item in question with a detailed description of the fault found. Once we deem the goods are faulty we will request for the product to be returned to us via post where we will happily replace it with either the same or similar product at no cost to you.

Unfortunately any damage caused to your items once they are in transit to you is out of our control and not covered by our return policy. For us to determine if the damage was present prior or during/after postage we keep a photo log of all items pre-posting. Should your item be damaged on receival, and it is determined that this has occurred during its transit to you, please feel free to reach out to us and we will happily provide you with a time-stamped photo of your item in it's pre-posted condition should you wish to use this in anything you wish to pursue with the courier service in question.

General wear and tear, damage caused by chewing, abrasive damage from rubbing against rough surfaces, or damage due to improper handling and/or care does not qualify the item to be damaged or faulty.

​

Clearance & Demo Items

We do not provide refunds, returns or exchanges for any clearance or demo items.

PRODUCT DISCLAIMER

About Our Policy

We take every effort to provide you, as our customer, a quality product for your canine companion. Where possible we use trusted product materials and will, to the best of our ability, list material composition in our description field with every product so you know what you are buying.

​

While we strive to provide only the best products to make our handcrafted wares with we can't guarantee against damage caused by, but not limited to, your dog or other dogs, damage or wear and tear as a result of our products rubbing or coming in contact with rough surfaces such as concrete or hard bristle brushes, harsh chemicals, alterations after receival or improper care.

​

Usage

We take great care to ensure that your collars and leads are finished securely to maintain integrity and strength.

While we construct our products for durability we always recommend using our products with care and caution. We advise against the application of excessive strain or exertion, and always recommend to remove any collars or leads from your dogs when unsupervised - especially if your dog is particularly rough on their wares, or likes to have a bit of a nibble on things! While paracord or equestrian rope is quite durable it is not chew-proof.

Care Instructions

  • Handwash in cold water with very mild detergent only.

  • Do not use any abrasive equipment, such as hard bristles, on your paracord as this can damage the cord.

  • Do not use a hot water wash as this could shrink your paracord.

  • Do not tumble dry.

  • DO flaunt it on your dog!

​

Appearance & Colour

Though rare, at times a colour you select for a product may end up looking slightly different when you receive it in person. This can be due to some differences in resolutions when viewing colours on a screen (gotta love technology!). This is unfortunately out of our control and does not constitute an incorrect order. Where possible the colour panel images we provide are true and correct at the time of upload. If ever you are in doubt about a colour, we recommend you search the colour online from alternate providers to confirm similarity.
